Panaji: January 24, 2024

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant unveiled the Empanelment of Social Media Influencers portal, marking a significant milestone in Goa’s approach to digital engagement. The launch event, graced by the distinguished presence of Smt. Delilah Lobo, Vice Chairperson, Entertainment Society of Goa, and Ankita Mishra, IAS, CEO, Entertainment Society of Goa, showcased the state’s commitment to use the power of social media for effective governance.

This initiative positions Goa as the second State in the Nation to introduce a comprehensive Policy for Social Media Influencer. The primary objective of the portal is to enhance the outreach of Government initiatives, schemes, and services by inviting registrations from Goan Social Media Influencers until 5:00 pm on February 14, 2024.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, addressing the media, encouraged aspiring social media enthusiasts of Goa to register on the portal and join the Goa Government’s promotional team. The portal, accessible at esg.co.in, serves as a dynamic platform for influencers to actively contribute to the promotion of Government schemes and policies.

To be eligible for empanelment, applicants must be residents of Goa with a residence certificate of 15 years and should have completed 18 years of age. Empanelment will be determined based on the highest count of followers, leading to various categories. The initial contract duration is one year, with the possibility of extension for a further two years based on satisfactory performance.

Under the flagship campaign of Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa, the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) aims to harness the services of Social Media Influencers for promotional activities. This strategic engagement seeks to generate maximum awareness of Government initiatives, services, and schemes by leveraging influencers’ reach through their social media handles.
