WEEKLY REVIEW ON RETAIL PRICES OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

The weekly review on retail prices of essential commodities for the week ending December 29, 2023 at Panaji, Margao, Mapusa and Vasco are as follows:

The prices of parboiled rice local and outside, Gur-fine and Sugar S-30 remained steady in all the markets during the week. Raw rice superfine increased by Rs. 5/- per kg and Raw rice common increases by Rs. 2/- to Rs. 5/- per kg at Panaji but were remained steady in other markets.

The prices of Moongdal, Uraddal, Gramdal, Masoordal, Peasdry and Gram Kabuli-big remained steady in all the markets during the week. Turdal Barshi at Margao & Vasco decreased by Rs. 5/- and Rs. 5/- to 10/- per kg but were remained steady in other markets. Moog at Mapusa increased by Rs. 10/- per kg.

The prices of Sunflower oil (Sunrich), Coconut oil and Vanaspati Ghee “Dalda” remained steady in all the markets during the week.

The prices of potatoes, Beans and Cabbage remained steady in all the markets during the week. Onions at Vasco decreased by Rs. 5/- to Rs. 10/- per kilo but were remained steady in other markets. Tomatoes at Panaji, Margao and Vasco decreased by Rs. 5/- per kilo respectively but were remained steady at Mapusa market. Green Chillies at Mapusa increased by Rs. 30/- to Rs. 40per kg but were remained steady in other markets.

The prices of coconut of 100 bharti Coconuts of 120 bharti and 150 bharti and Coconuts 180 bharti remained steady in all the markets during the week under review.
