PRE-MATRIC & POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR ST STUDENTS

The Directorate of Tribal Welfare is implementing centrally sponsored Scheme i.e. Pre-Matric (Std. IX & X) and Post-Matric Scholarship for ST students by inviting online applications on the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in ).

The Directorate of Tribal Welfare has extended the timelines on the National Scholarship Portal for pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for the current AY 2023-24. Last date for application submission is January 31, 2024, last date for INO Level Verification is February 15, 2024 and last date for District Level Verification is March 01, 2024.

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi has decided that Aadhar to be made mandatory for all applicants. However for minor applicants who apply without Aadhar, it will be mandatory for parent or legal guardian to provide Aadhar.

Aadhar based bio-metric authentication and eKYC to be made mandatory from 2024-25. However, in order to ensure smooth transition, One-Time Password (OTP) base authentication will also be permitted for 2023-24. Students have to link their active/operative mobile number to their Aadhar in order received (OTP) for registration purpose on NSP.

All scholarship payments to made using Aadhar Payment Bridge (APB) system. Students have to seed their bank account with their Aadhaar number.

Head of Institute/Institute Nodal Officer has to perform eKYC (bio-metric/fact-auth) to verify applications from their NSP logins.
