POWER MINISTER PRESIDES JANATA DARBAR AT VASCO

Electricity Department is making serious efforts to resolve the problem of frequent power failures in the State, stated Minister for Power Shri. Ramkrishna alias Sudin Dhavalikar. He was speaking at a Janata Darbar organised by Collectorate South at Baina Vasco today.

Shri. Dhavalikar informed that, the Electricity Department has plans to undertake under ground cabling of high tension electricity line in coastal area, agriculture, forest and city area which would reduce the problem of power failure to a great extent in the State. He also said that the Government is focusing on generating power through Solar energy as the State is producing 43 mega watt power through Solar energy which will be enhanced upto 150 mega watt by 2030 in the State.

Minister Shri. Dhavalikar gave a patient ear to the grievances made by the public during the Janata Darbar. He said that initiative of Janata Darbar facilitate people to put forth their Grievances and get resolved in consultation with concerned Government Officers.

Shri.Dhavalikar was informed about various problems faced by the locals due to menance of coal pollution in the Vasco area. Besides issues of road encroachment, illegal construction and mis- management of garbage, road safety, electric poles were raised during the Janata Darbar wherein Minister directed concerned Government Departments to resolve the issues amicably.

He also informed that the Electricity Department will start the project of underground cabling of HT line in Vasco very shortly.
