CHIEF MINISTER EXTENDS GREETINGS ON TEACHER’S DAY

Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant has extended his warm and very sincere greetings to the teaching community across the State of Goa on the occasion of the Teacher’s Day.

Teacher’s Day is observed on September 5 to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. He was a teacher par excellence, a great philosopher and a noted educationist.

Since ancient times, teaching has always been held in high esteem in our country. The Teacher’s Day is celebrated as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. They help us to become good human beings, a better member of the society and an ideal citizen of the country. They mentor young mind and guide them to become responsible citizens.

Chief Minister further said, “I also congratulate the recipients of CM-Vashistha Guru Puraskar 2022-23. May you be an inspiration to your peer and continue your noble deeds in moulding successful and responsible citizens and leaders of tomorrow”, the Chief Minister concluded.
