Workshop on Impact Assessment & Capacity Building held

The Workshop on Impact Assessment and Capacity Building for AIR Kisanvani and DD Kisan Programme Producers of South Western Region inaugurated at ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Ella, Old Goa today.

Dr. Vasudha Gupta, I.I.S, Director General, All India Radio inaugurated the workshop. Others present were Dr. Pravin Kumar, Director, ICAR, Dr. Prashant Armorikar, Director (Mass Media) Min. of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India, Shri Deepak Joshi, I.B.E.S,DDG (Policy) DG :AIR, Dr. K. C. Sinha, ADP(F&H) DG :AIR and Shri Sunil Bhatia.

The workshop was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India and Farm & Home Unit, Directorate General, All India Radio, New Delhi.

In the two days workshop, various sessions have been planned such as capacity building for enhancing social media outreach for better interface with farmers and discussion will be held on India’s Agri Tech startup ecosystem potential and challenges etc.

Five farmers namely Shri Sanjay Patil, Smt. Kalindi Salgaonkar, Smt. Darshana Pednekar, Shri Franklin Pereira and Smt Hema Bugde were felicitated at the hands of Dr. Vasudha Gupta, I.I.S, Director General, All India Radio.
