DHTC INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR HANDLOOM WEAVING TRAINING

The Department of Handicrafts, Textile and Coir will be starting six months Handloom Weaving training programmes from December 01, 2022 at the Training and Production centers of the Handicrafts, Textile and Coir in different parts of Goa (at the concerned training centre of the department and in vacant Government Primary School premises).
The location of the Training cum production centre are as follows: GPS Deulwada, Korgao, Pernem Taluka; GPS Malpe, near Mulvir Temple Pernem Taluka; Training cum production center, Marna-Siolim, Bardez; Village Panchayat, Assonora, Bardez; Star Gymkhana, Velguem, Bicholim; GPS Tarmatha, Surla, Bicholim; Village Panchayat, Se Old Goa, Tiswadi; Brahmadurga High School Lab, Pazmol, Shiroda, Ponda; Ponda Shigmotsav Committee Hall, Near Ponda Municipal Council; Poinguinim Coir Common facility Center, Canacona Taluka; GPS Dharge-tambdi Surla, Dharbandora Taluka and Government Primary School near Paikdev Temple, Sanguem.
In this connection, the interested candidates may enroll themselves for the courses Basic Handloom Weaving by submitting the application in the prescribed form to the Department of Handicrafts, Textile and Coir, Crafts Complex, Neuginagar, Panaji-Goa or the Incharges of the Handloom Centre. The eligibility for training is as follows: Domicile of Goa for 15 years; Vth Std. as minimum Educational Qualification and Age group of 18-45 years.
However, there will be no age restriction for the Student of ITI/Diploma in Garment and Dress making/Polytechnic/Engineering student or craftsman of the State of Goa.
Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 1000/- for each completed month of training in respect of General candidates and Rs. 1500/- for each completed month of training in respect of SC/ST candidates.
