BE ALERT OF EXTERNAL ELEMENTS COMMITTING CRIMES : CM

The Goa Police is improving it’s image every passing day and keeps itself abreast with technology to tackle all sorts of crimes. This outpost is not only an outpost but will be a police station where cases would be registered and people need not go elsewhere, stated the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant after inaugurating a newly constructed building for Police Outpost at Betim Bardez today.
Shri Rohan Khaunte also graced the occasion.
Government strives to improve and develop adequate infrastructure and human resources in the State. Betim Police Out Post has a history. During the liberation movement Azad Gomantak Dal, a freedom fighters organization, attacked this outpost and had ransacked arms to fight against the Portuguese the Chief Minister informed.
The Chief Minister speaking further called upon the people to be alert about external elements committing crimes in the State. Crime detection in the State is about 90% which is not enough. Instead we have to endeavour to stop crime from happening.
MLA Saligao, Shri Kedar Naik appreciated the Police staff of Betim Out Post for its endeavour to maintain law and order thus ensuring safety of the people in this area.

The building for the Police Outpost at Betim is constructed at a cost of 80 lakh This project provides facilities such as inspector’s Cabin; Lock up Room; Barrack; O.P. Incharge Room; Reporting-cum-waiting Room; & Conference Room for the Police’s. All programs, except for the Conference Room have been provided at the lower level to enable ease of access for senior citizens & women.
