TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

The Traffic Cell, Panaji has efected traffic diversions from August 13 to 15, 2022 in view of Independence Day celebration on August 15, 2022 which is scheduled to be held infront of the Old Secretariat, Panaji.

For incoming vehicular Traffic from 06.00 hrs of August 13, 2022 to 06.00 hrs of August 15, 2022 the stretch of D.B. Marg from Bandodkar Statue upto Abade Faria Statue will be closed for movement of vehicular traffic. The traffic will be diverted at Bandodkar Statue to proceed via behind Old Secretariat-Match Corner- Abade Faria Statue– D.B. Marg., whereas, from 06.00 hrs of August 15, 2022 till the function is over, the stretch of D.B Marg from Bandodkar Statue upto Ferry Wharf Junction will be closed for movement of vehicular traffic. The traffic will be diverted at Bandodkar Statue to proceed via behind old Secretariat- Match Corner-M.G. Road.

For outgoing vehicular Traffic from 06.00 hrs of August 13, 2022 to 06.00 hrs of August 14, 2022 the outgoing traffic on D.B. Marg will be allowed to exit as usual and whereas, from 06.00 hrs of August 14, 2022 till the function is over on August 15, 2022 the outgoing traffic on D.B. Marg will be diverted at Ferry Wharf Junction to proceed via Printing Press Junction- Urban Health Centre – Commerce Point-Church Square – Jose Falcao Road/Cortin.

The motorists are requested not to park their vehicles on the above diversion routes and to co-operate with Traffic Police to ensure smooth flow of traffic, as informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
