The Captain of Ports Department has informed that the CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa will be carrying out flow measurements at Sal river, Talpona river and Galgibaga river at South Goa. Sal river near Assolna-Cavelossim Bridge on August 7, 2022 to September 6, 2022 from Latitude 150 10’ 41.7” N, Longitude 730 57’ 39.7”E; Talpona river near Sadolxem Bridge on August 7, 2022 to September 6, 2022 from Latitude 140 59’ 42.5” N, Longitude 740 03’ 32.1” E and Galgibaga near Galgibaga railway bridge on August 7, 2022 to September 6, 2022 from Latitude 140 58’ 00.4 ”N, Longitude 740 03’ 25.5” E.

Therefore, all Owners/ Masters of the barges, passengers launches, ferry boats, tindels of fishing trawlers and operators of the mechanized and non- mechanized crafts, including the tourist boats, cruise boats, etc. plying at the above locations are hereby CAUTIONED to keep a sharp lookout, go slow and if necessary stop at safe distance so as not to cause any hindrance during the above period and strictly adhere to the on the spot instructions issued by the patrolling boats stationed at the site.

Violations of the above shall be viewed seriously, as informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
