CM SUGGESTS TO STUDY ASPECTS OF ROBOTIC EDUCATION

The Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant held a meeting with ‘Lets Robo” agency held at conference hall in the Secretariat today.
Chief Minister in his deliberation suggested to the authorities to study various aspects of Robotic education concept, its facility, work ability, visibility and also the cost component involved. He also urged to check as to what extent this concept can be implemented in the coming academic year.
Minister for Science and Environment, Shri Michael Lobo, Director of SCERT, Shri Nagraj Honnekeri, officers of Directorate of Education attended the meeting.
The meeting was for providing access of Robotic Education in Goa to students. The Agency Lets Robo based from Kolhapur is working to promote robotic education. The Chief Executive officer (founder) Ms. Reshma Savarkar through power point presentation explained about the purpose and need of Robotic Education with examples as to how it leads to enhance creativity among Children. Robotics is the most effective way to teach programming and logical thinking and preparing their kids for the future, as it focuses on spatial awareness – five motor skills and a practical understanding of engineering skill.
Ms Savarkar further informed that lets robo aims to not only retains interest in science/ math but also kindles creativity in technology, helps to be creative and integrative in applying science and technology to solve real life problems learn the actual application of math, science and technology and encourages to be makers rather than consumers of technology.
Thereafter Chief Minister witnessed the PowerPoint presentation on the design in revised layout of the Goa freedom fighters management at Patradevi concept.
