Road Accident Statistics for December 2020

The Directorate of Transport has compiled monthly report of number of accidents that occurred and number of Challans issued for the month of December 2020

As per the report there were 272 road accidents of which 24 were Fatal Accidents (North Goa – 9 and South Goa – 15), 9 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 4 and South Goa – 5), 53 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 11 and South Goa – 42) and 186 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 100 and South Goa –86).

The total number of persons who lost their lives in road accidents were 24 (North Goa – 09 and South Goa – 15), 17 Riders, 4 P/Riders, 2 Drivers and 1 Pedestrian lost their lives in these accidents.

18 people were Grievously Injured (North – 08 and South – 10) while 70persons suffered Minor Injuries (North – 17, South – 53).

A total 1068 Challans were issued by Transport authorities in the month of December 2020, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
