LARGE NO OF BENEFICIARIES PARTICIPATES IN PM’S INTERACTION PROGRAMME

Large number of beneficiaries participated in the Prime Minister’s live interaction programme with the beneficiaries of about 16 schemes at the live screening programme organised at South District level at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. This programme, spanning 9 Ministries of the Government of India celebrated across the country to commemorate 75 years of Independence. As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations this programme was held under ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ which was one of the largest ever single-event nationwide interaction spanning all districts.

Prime Minister interacted with beneficiaries of the country about the impact of the wide-ranging schemes/programmes such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Poshan Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural and Urban), Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT, Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, One Nation-One Ration Card, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.

Minister for Transport, Industries, Panchayat Raj & Protocol, Shri Mauvin Godinho; Minister for Sports, Art & Culture and Rural Development, Shri Govind Gaude; Power Minister, Shri Sudin Dhavlikar; Social Welfare Minister, Shri Subhash Phaldessai; NRI Commissioner, Shri Narendra Sawaikar were present on the occasion.

Before PMs interaction, Minister, Shri Mauvin Godinho in his address said, Prime Minister personally monitors whether the schemes benefit the needy or not. Prime Minister keeps his Ministers, bureaucracy and other officials on toes to see that schemes reach the needy person and the last citizen of the country. Goa is developing fast and the way the infrastructure is taking shape is really commendable, he said. Skill development is also focused. India has the capacity to achieve a 5 trillion economy which will compete with the world, he said.

Minister, Shri Govind Gaude said, Government schemes help one to live life with self respect and pride. Government is of the opinion that no one should bow its head down and that is why the Government supports its citizens through various schemes, he said. Women have progressed a lot by availing benefits of various schemes. During the difficult pandemic time, Government provided free ration to its people which was applauded by the whole country. One Nation One ration is a good concept, he said.

Beneficiaries of different schemes also shared their views as to how they benefited from the schemes.
