AGRICULTURAL PROSPECTS FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, 2018                                                                                                     Panaji: November 8, 2018                                                                                       Kartika 17, 1940    A meeting of the State Level Co-ordination Committee on Crop Insurance (SLCCCI) was held on October 17, 2018 under the Chairmanship of Secretary (Agriculture) in Tonca, Caranzalem.   Four officials of the Directorate visited Study tour at Dharwad to visit the “Study Centre of Excellence” put up by the Indo-Israel partnership for Vegetable the centre for capacity building in order to understand and study the concept.   4500 nos of fruit planting material consist of Mango and Cashew grafts, Areca nut, Coconut and Drumstick seeding, Guava and Lime layers etc distributed to the farmers of various constituencies under the scheme Home steady Gardens during the year 2018.               Paddy crop harvesting is in full swing with extensive use of Paddy harvesting combine.               Crop prospect for the season is very good.
