 The statement of market price has intimated by the Registrar of Co-operatative societies of important essential commodities in Panaji, for the week ending July 24, 2018.


The wholesale, prices of sugar S-30 decreased by Rs.20/- to Rs.50/- per quintal. Wheat Khandva, gramdal, gur fine, rawa, maida, tomatoes increased by Rs.70/- to Rs.103/-, Rs.400/- to Rs.500/-, Rs.100/- to Rs.200/-, Rs.60/- to Rs.100, Rs.60/- to Rs.80/-, Rs.500/- per quintal respectively, coconut oil increased by Rs.110/- per 5 kgs  and vegetable ghee “Ruchi” by Rs.30/- to Rs.80/- per 15 liters and eggs large by Rs.10/- to Rs.15/- per 100 nos. during the week.


The prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat shivri, turdal barshi, moongdal, moong, gram kabuli big, sunflower oil, green peas, potatoes, onions, chillies green and banana (Vassai) remained steady in all the markets during the week.


In retail, the prices of important essential commodities like parboiled rice local, parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat khandva, wheat shivri, jowar shalu,  turdal barshi, moongdal, gramdal, moong, gram kabuli big, sugar S-30, gur fine, sunflower oil, coconut oil, vegetable ghee “Dalda” packet of 1 litre, rawa, maida, green peas, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, chillies green, eggs large and banana (Vassai) remained steady during the week.

The increased and decrease in wholesale prices were due to increase and decrease in wholesale prices in supplying markets.

The supply position of important essential commodities were normal during the week, except that of parboiled rice local and jowar Shalu the arrival of which was not noticed during the week.
