          The Office of the Collector and District Magistrate North Goa has clarified about the raid in the office of Dy. Collector and S.D.O., Bardez, Mapusa by Crime Branch recently.


          The Collector based on the report received from the office of Dy. Collector, Bardez has stated that certain files pertaining to conversion  sanad applied for allotment to various grantees of communidade of Serula, as it is required for investigation as directed by High Court of Bombay at Goa has been handed over to concern officials.


          Further, on June 12, 2018, the Police Inspector furnished a list of grantees to the Dy. Collector and S.D.O., Bardez, Mapusa who in turn requested him to trace out the said files from the available records with the assistance of the staff of his office. 15 files dating from the year 1998 to 2012 were identified and their possession was taken by the Police Inspector, Crime Branch.


          As is evident from the above there was no raid in the office of the Dy. Collector and SDO, Bardez, Mapusa as has been reported by section of the media. All the files taken for inspection pertain to the period from 1998 to 2012.
