The Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant has said that the vision of the Government is to make Goa an IT State. Dr Sawant said that the Government always supports initiatives for the development of IT in the State and was ready to provide the required infrastructure to IT companies wishing to locate to Goa.            Dr Sawant was speaking at the inauguration of MeWo, an exclusive meeting and co-working space in Patto, Panaji, today. 

Dr Sawant added further that the State Government is ready to accommodate new ideas in its Start -Up policy which would help to develop Goa into an IT destination. 

While commenting on the new work space that was inaugurated, Dr Sawant said that the space provided advanced facilities required in IT sector all under one roof. He said such facilities would boost IT in Goa and would help curb migration of Goans going to other states and countries for work.

The Minister for Revenue and Information Technology (IT),                Ms. Jennifer Monserrate said that the Government would extend its support to encouraging start-ups in Goa. 

Founders of the project, Shri Shrinivas  Dempo and Shri Abrar Shaikh were present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Shri Dempo said that the greatest satisfaction he feels is when Goans get gainful opportunities and starting businesses on their own. We want to replicate this model all over the state he added.
