Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Chandrakant Kavlekar, Deputy Chief distributed cheques offering financial assistance to those affected people in the Pernem taluka by the recent floods in the distinguished presence of  Dy. Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar. The function was organized by Directorate of Agriculture at Society hall Pernem today.


Addressing the gathering Shri Kavlekar landed the efforts of Chief Minister and greeted the People ahead of the festival of Ganesh Chaturti. He further said, the Government has provided the financial assistance in a very short period of time in order to deliver the  financial assistant to people affected during receipt floods and said that anyone who has suffered loss and has not been given the compensation may approach  the concerned authorities so that relief can be provided to them. Those farmers who have suffered losses to their crops will be providing financial assistant soon, he added.


Dy. Chief Minister, Shri Ajgaonkar while speaking on the occasion thanked the Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister for taking quick decision to enhance the amount of compensation to be given to the flood affected and distributing it at the earliest. He further appreciated the Staff of Agriculture for performing tough Task in providing assistance to the victims during floods.


Present on the occasion were Chairperson of Pernem Municipality, Smt. Sweta Kambli, Councillor of Pernem Muncipality, Smt. Usha Nagvekar Ex- Chairperson of Pernem Municipality, Smt. Suvidha Teli, Sarpanch of Hasapur, Shri Santosh Malik and others.
