WIDENING AND STRENGTHENING OF EXISTING ROAD AT GAUNDALI BRIDGE INAUGURATED

The inauguration of the project of widening and strengthening of the existing road from Old Goa junction to Gaundali bridge approach including asphalting from Old Goa Junction to Khandola College was held at Gaundali, today. Vice Chairman, Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) Shri. Siddharth Kuncalienkar, Sarpanch, Se-Old Goa Panchayat Smt. Janita Madkaikar, Zilla Panchayat Member Smt. Mahima Desai and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Kuncalienkar said that, “Internal road network and infrastructure of bridges are not merely to facilitate transportation but also attributes to development and economical progress of  remote villages within.”

The project is executed by GSIDC. The Consultant of the Project is M/s TPF Engineering Pvt. Ltd and contractor is M/s. Ritesh Developers Pvt. Ltd. The approximate cost of the project is Rs.16. 63 crores.

Panch Member Shri. Vishwas Kuttikar said that widening and strengthening of the existing road from Old Goa junction to Gaundali bridge approach has reduced congestion in traffic to a large extent. Shri. Prakash Naik Amonkar lauded the GSIDC for maintaining good quality of the project.

Smt. Janita Madkaikar,  Shri. Nilkant Bhomkar also spoke on the occasion.
