As a part of Traffic Safety Week, employees of Department of Information and Publicity were enlightened with Traffic Safety rules and measures towards controlling road accidents.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shri. Dharmesh Angle delivered lecture on Traffic Safety wherein he urged the gathering to follow rules and regulation regarding road in order to ensure safe road transport.

Shri. Angle informed about various types of accidents and measures to be taken to ensure safe driving. Shri. Angle insisted that pillion riders should also be aware of road so that in the situation of accident he can be able to escape from grievous injury. Many a times pillion riders remain busy talking to rider and have no idea of exact situation on road, which may cause him danger in the case of accident, Shri. Angle further stated. He also lamented on importance of helmet wearing and explained how helmets have played significant role in reducing fatal accidents in last year.

Director, Information and Publicity Shri. Narayan S. Navti spoke on importance of implementation of traffic safety measures and urged to follow the rules to ensure safe driving.

Information Officer Shri. John Aguiar earlier welcomed and introduced the guest speaker to the staff. Joint Director, Information and Publicity Shri. Ramesh Naik and Information Officer Shri. Prakash Naik were present on the occasion. Information Assistant Smt. Janhhavi Savaikar proposed vote of thanks.
