MEETING OF STANDING COMMITTEE OF ISCS, WESTERN ZONE HELD IN GOA

The 11th Meeting of Standing Committee of the Western Zone Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India was held today at Old Goa. Shri. R. Buhril, Secretary of Inter State Council Secretariat(ISCS),Shri. Kumar Garison, Under Secretary, Shri. Sushil Kumar Jha, Dy. Secretary, Shri. P.V. Peethambaran, Committee Officer, Shri. Sunil Kumar, Asst. Section Officer, Shri. Parimal Rai, IAS, Chief Secretary of Goa were present for the meeting along with senior Govt officials from various central Government Ministries and state Governments officials from Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli (UT) were present on the occasion. Secretary Finance Shri. Daulat Hawaldar, IAS and DGP Dr. Muktesh Chandar also attended the meeting. 



The meeting reviewed the progress of Implementation of recommended tasks in the 23rd meeting of the Western Zonal Council held at Gandhinagar. It also discussed various issues like road and railway connectivity, forest, Police, telecom and other aspects recommended by the committee. 

 Earlier, Shri. Parimal Rai welcomed the gathering and gave the opening remarks. Shri. Buhril also spoke on the occasion. In his address he said that such meeting help in resolving many issues pertaining to public services such as PWD, water and electricity supply, road and telecoms services etc. the issues which remain unsolved will be resolved with in due time in the next meeting, he informed.
