The Department of Information & Publicity today announced the results of the Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition Scheme -2014 organised as part of the forthcoming National Press Day, 2023 celebration.
The Photo Competition was held in two different categories – category -1 – Goan Traditional Cuisine and category two Goa’s Rural Life.
In category one under the topic ‘Goan Traditional Cuisine, the first prize won by Miss Aishwarya Rivonkar,Velim Salcete, the second prize was bagged by Shri Ketan Golatkar, Ribander and the third prize was bagged by Shri Rajtilak Naik, President of Goa Union of Journalist and Senior Photographer attached to Times of India (Goa Edition).
The Consolation prizes under category one were bagged by Shri Ganesh Shetkar, attached to Lokmat, Shri Hemant Parab, attached to Navhind Times, Miss Sneha Ashish Lotlikar,Cuncolim Mardol ,Shri Siddesh Mayenkar, St Cruz and Shri Prashant Shirodkar ,Mala Panjim respectively.
In category two- under the topic ‘Goa’s Rural Life, the first prize was bagged by Shri Atharv Salgaonkar, Advalpal, Bicholim. The second Prize won by Shri Narayan Pissurlekar, attached to The Goan Everyday and the third prize bagged by Shri Hemant Parab, attached to Navhind Times.
The five consolation prizes under the category were bagged by Shri Shyam Anant Gawas, Podocem Sattari, Miss Akshanda Rane ,Shri Ganesh Shetkar attached to Lokmat ,Shri Rohan Fernnades and Shri Upendra Naik respectively
The prizes to the winners of the competition will be presented on the occasion of National Press Day function to be held on November 16, 2023 in the city.
The State Scrutiny Committee comprised of Smt Assavri Kulkarni, an eminent Photographer, Shri Chandan Naik Gaonkar, a well known Photographer and Shri Lourenco Fernandes, Senior Photographer (retired) from Department of Information and Publicity Judged the competition.
