Raj Bhavan Goa under the guidance of Governor of Goa Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai has initiated a number of schemes for the benefit of different sections of the Society. One such literary scheme is “NAYI PAHAL” initiated to help new writers to publish their literary contributions. The Governor himself a prolific writer understood that publication and recognition has always been an uphill task for budding writers. Hence, under this scheme Raj Bhavan undertakes printing and publication of first time writers’ books, after scrutiny process, from its own funds. The languages covered are local Konkani and Marathi as well as other regional and national languages. After printing and releasing the book the author is given 300 copies for his or her own use and 200 copies are used for internal circulation. Raj Bhavan is not involved in any sale of these books.

Last May, 2023, the scheme was launched by printing and releasing 5 books in Konkani and Marathi at the hands of Jnanpith Award winner and eminent writer Shri Damodar Mauzo ji and in distinguished presence of Governor.
