COVISHIELD VACCINATION CAMPAIGN FROM JAN 18

Directorate of Health Services has informed that, a “CovishieldVaccination Campaign” will commence from 18th January 2023 free of cost in the selected government hospitals under Directorate of Health Services namely CHC Canacona, CHC Sankhalim, CHC Pernem, PHC Quepem, PHC Ponda, PHC Chimbel, UHC Margao, UHC Vasco, UHC Panaji, UHC Mapusa and also at GMC Bambolim.

The campaign is conducted in view of the recent global surge of COVID-19 cases, along with detection of new variant which has been categorized as a Variant of Concern (VOC),

The targeted beneficiaries will be in the age group of 18 and above for 1st dose, 2nd dose & Precaution Dose. The prioritization and sequencing of this Precautionary Dose will be based on the completion of 6 months i.e. all those received 2nd dose of Covid Vaccine on or before 17th July 2022 and 3 months for the international travelers.

Those who have received two doses of Covishield will be getting the Covishield dose as a “Precaution Dose”. The vaccine will be administered twice a week i.e. on every Wednesday (9.00 am to 4.00 pm) and Saturday (9.00 am to 12.00 pm) till 9th February 2023 or till stock last.

Registration of beneficiaries at the vaccination site would be the spot registration. Hence all the Beneficiaries are kindly requested to carry final vaccination certificate or COVID-19 Vaccination card (issued by respective health centers) along with phone number and I.D. proof used for previous vaccination while coming for registration.
