“In a democracy, the press performs an important role as a bridge between the government and the people. All journalists should set an ideal for the coming generation, that nation and society are our first priority and one should keep this vital point in mind while moving forward in the field of journalism,” said the CM.

Democracy cannot survive in its rightest sense without a vibrant, fearless and Informative media fraternity. Today, Media is becoming Informative, educative, perspective disseminator and platform for expression. The media fraternity in Goa has grown in leaps and bounds. I appreciate the zeal & hard work of our journalists towards contributing in democratic development of the society acting as a fourth pillar of democracy.”
