GOA GOVT. COMPLETES 100 DAYS

The Goa Government completed 100 days. At a function held at the Goa Assembly Complex in Porvorim today, Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant said that the Government is taking bold steps to ensure good governance reaches people. Citing the example of the formation of SIT probe into land scams, raids on illegal spas and massage parlours, the Chief Minister said that the Government was open to constructive feedback from the opposition to improve.

He further said that the Government is determined to take schemes to the common man. On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over sanads to 100 persons under Forest Right Claims. He assured the rest of applicants who have asked for forest dwelling rights of speedy recourse.
Earlier, Minister for Panchayats, Shri Mauvin Godinho said that 100 days has set the pace for a journey of good governance. He said that it was the people of Goa who have given the Government the mandate to come to power a second time. He said that the current cabinet is a balanced one which has dynamic ministers – young and experienced.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister launched the Public Grievance Portal and said that the portal will soon be operational round the clock. An SMS intimation system was also launched where beneficiaries of 3 schemes will be intimated via SMS regarding payments credited to their account under the scheme. More such schemes would be added soon it was informed. 3 books of the Department of Information and Publicity namely, ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, Swayampurna Goa 2.0’, ‘100 days of Action’ and ‘Transforming Goa, double engine growth’ were released on the occasion.
The function was attended by Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, senior Government officials, among others.
