GOVERNOR EXTENDS GREETINGS ON VISHU FESTIVAL

Governor of Goa Shri. P. S. Sreedharan Pillai has extended greetings on the occasion of Vishu particularly the Kerala brethren.

Governor in his message said that the festival marks the first day of Malayalam month Medam. Vishu signifies the joyous dawn of traditional New Year and the harvest season. The festival is characterized by the families getting together, preparing colourful auspicious items and offering prayers at the temples. The festival is celebrated with
gaiety and devotion. This festival while strengthening the feelings of togetherness and harmony reaffirms our commitment to the cause of unity amidst diversity.

This year let the festivities be observed with adherence to safety protocols and may the celebration of Vishu bring greater peace, prosperity and happiness to one and all, the Governor added.
