ROAD ACCIDENT STATISTICS FOR MARCH 2021

The Directorate of Transport has released monthly report of number of accidents that were occurred and number of Challan’s issued for the month of March 2021.
As per the report the number of road accidents that occurred are 286 (North Goa – 150 and South Goa – 136), out of which 21 (North Goa – 08 and South Goa – 13) of people lost their lives. They included are 14 riders (North 05 & South 09), 01 p/rider, 02 drivers, 03 pedestrians, 01 passenger and 0 cyclist etc.
Fatal Accidents that occurred are 20 (North Goa – 08 and South Goa – 12), Number of grievous accidents are 14 (North Goa – 07 and South Goa – 07), where as 35 minor accidents (North Goa – 06 and South Goa – 29) and 217 non – injury accidents (North Goa – 129 and South Goa –88) occurred in both districts.
The number of people grievously injured in both the districts are 23 (North – 10 and South – 13) while 69 persons suffered minor injuries (North – 10, South – 59).
A total number of 1133 Challans were issued by Transport Authorities in the month of March 2021, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
