NCC Plays Vital Role in Nation Building: Koshyari

National Cadet Corps NCC is an institution that plays a vital role in teaching the students about the nation and our role in nation building, said the Governor of Goa, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He was speaking after felicitating NCC cadets of Goa and Karnataka at Raj Bhavan today. The function was organised by the NCC DTE Karnataka and Goa, NCC, GP, HQ, Belagavi and other affiliated organisations.

Speaking further, the Governor said, “NCC provides a platform for youth in developing their personality and imbibe upon them the importance of discipline in life”. He stressed the need for well disciplined, well characterised people to lead and take our nation ahead and appreciated the Cadets for opting NCC.

At the Republic Day, 2021 the NCC contingent of Goa and Karnataka stood at 4th place. Shri. Koshyari presented cadets with mementoes on this occasion, followed by the cadets sharing their experiences.

Deputy Director General, Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate, Air Commodore Lalit Kumar Jain, also spoke on the occasion. Flag officer Naval Aviation Rear Admiral Philipose George, Comdt. 2Signal Training Centre Brig. Sanjay Rawal, Secretary to Governor, Shri. R. Mihir Vardhan, IAS, Jt. Secretary to Governor, Shri. Gauresh Shankhwalkar, Asst. Comptroller Shri Sandesh Gadkari, NCC Officers, Associate NCC Officers RDC Contingent of Goa, Group Comm. Col. K. Sriniwas, Belagavi, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Shri. M. Chaitanya Prasad were among those present at the function.
