WEEKLY REVIEW ON PRICES AND SUPPLY POSITION OF IMPORTANT ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

            In the Panaji, Margao, Mapusa and Vasco for the week ending March29, 2018 in wholesale, the prices of parboiled rice local, parboiled rice outside, raw rice super fine, and sugar S-30  remained steady in all the markets during the week. Raw rice common at Mapusa increased Re.1/- to Rs.2/- per killo, but was steady in other markets. Gur fine at Margao decreased by Re.1/- to rs.3/- per kilo, but was steady in other markets.

The prices of turdal barshi, gramdal, masoordal and moong  remained steady in all the markets during the week. Moongdal and  peasdry  at Margao increased by  Rs.5/-  and Rs.2/- to Rs.3/- per  kilo,  but was steady in other markets. Uraddal at Panaji decreased by Rs. 10/- to Rs. 20/- per kilo, the same at Margao increased by Rs.5/- per kilo, but was steady in other markets.   

The prices of sunflower oil, coconut oil  and Vanaspati ghee Dalda packet of 1 liter remained steady in all the market during the week.

 Prices of cabbage and chillies green remained steady in all the markets during the week under review. Potatoes at Margao increased by Re.1/- to Rs.4/- per kilo, but were steady in other markets. Onions at Margao decreased by Rs. 2/- to Rs. 5/- per kilo but was steady in other market. Tomatoes  at Panaji, Mapusa and Vasco increased by Rs. 2/- Rs.5/-, Rs.10/- and Rs.5/- per kilo, but was steady in Margao markets. Beans at Margao and Mapusa increased by Rs.10/- per kilo respectively, but were steady in other markets.  

The prices of coconuts of 100 bharti, 120 bharti, 150 bharti and 180 bharti remained steady in all markets during the week under review.
