VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA ARRIVES IN THE STATE

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu arrived in the State of Goa today by a special aircraft from Ranchi Airport. On his arrival at Dabolim Airport, the Vice President was received by the Governor, Dr (Smt) Mridula Sinha, Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Pramod Sawant, Panchayat Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho, Chief Secretary, Government of Goa Shri Dharmendra Sharma, Director General of Police, Dr. Muktesh Chander, FOGA, Rear Admiral Philiose G Pynumootil, Secretary Protocol Shri W.V. Ramanmurthy and Collector South, Dr. Tariq Thomas.

During his visit, he will plant a sapling at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula at 09.30 a.m. on September 28, 2018 and thereafter, he will attend the convocation ceremony of National Institute of Technology Goa at Kala Academy, Panaji at 10.00 a.m. After the function, the Vice President will proceed to the residence of MRK Prasad, Goa. He will depart from residence of MRK Prasad, Goa at 2.40 p.m. on September 28, 2018.

The Vice President will leave Goa on September 28, 2018 at 3.05 p.m. to proceed to Mumbai Air Port.
