WEEKLY REVIEW ON PRICES OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

In wholesale, the prices of moong, potatoes, onions decreased by Rs.200/- to Rs.300/-, Rs.100/- to Rs.300/-, Rs.200/- to Rs.300/- per quintal respectively and eggs large by Rs.30/- to Rs.40/-, per 100 nos. rawa, chillies green increased by Rs.60/- to Rs.100/-, Rs.1000/- per quintal respectively and vegetable ghee ‘Ruchi’ by Rs. 50/- to Rs100/- per tin of 15 liters during the week.

 The prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat Khandva, wheat Shivri, Turdal Barshi, moongdal, gramdal, gram kabuli big, sugar S-30, gur fine, sunflower oil, maida,green peas,tomatoes and Banana (vassai) remained steady during the week.

In retail, the prices of eggs large decreased by Rs.5/- per dozen Chillies green increased by Rs. 10/- per kilo during the week.

The prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat Khandva, wheat Shivri, jower shalu, Turdal Barshi, moongdal, gramdal, gram kabuli big, sugar S-30, sunflower oil, coconut oil, vegetable ghee ‘Dalda’, rawa, maida, green peas, potatoes, onion, tomatoes and Banana (vassai) remained steady during the week.

The decreased and increased in wholesale and retail were due to decreased and increased in wholesale prices in supplying market.

The supply position of important essential commodities were normal during the week, except that of parboiled rice local, jowar shalu and coconut oil, the arrival of which was not noticed during the week, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity
