The Goa Housing Board has been striving hard for creation of residential units all over the State with the objective of creating good quality affordable housing units for local Goan residents with focus on Middle and low income group including Economically weaker sections of the society. The GHB has issued an auction notice for disposal of its tenements (flats and shops)constructed at Bordem Bicholim and Rumdamol Davorlim, Porvorim and Baina-Vasco in e-auction mode.


There are 18 double bedroom and 12 single bedroom flats at Bordem Bicholim at the rate of Rs. 32,000/- per sq. mt., 19 double bedroom flats at the rate of Rs. 45,000/- per sq. mt. and 6 double bedroom flats at Sector ‘D’ Porvorim at the rate of Rs. 48,978/- per sq. mt. There are 4 shops at Bordem Bicholim and 7 shops at Rumdamol Davorlim for disposal at the rate of Rs. 70,000/- per sq. mt. and 8 shops at Baina Vasco at the rate of Rs. 80,000/- per sq. mt.

The eligibility criteria for GHB Tenements being  applicant must be a citizen of India or an Overseas Citizen of India, and must have been born in Goa on or before 19th December 1961, or,          born of a parent who resided in Goa on or before 19th December 1961, or, born in Goa and a resident of State of Goa continuously for the last thirty years, or, resident of State of Goa for the last thirty years, or, born in Goa of parents who have been residents of the State of Goa for the last thirty years, on the date of making application for the tenement;  applicant should have attained the age of eighteen years at the time of making an application;

The reservation of residential tenements to be disposed by outright sale under e-auction or under lot, as the case may be for the persons belonging to following categories shall be  1% each for  Scheduled Castes and Freedom Fighters, 2% for Scheduled Tribes and Ex-Servicemen including personnel of Para Military Forces, if any,  5% for Other Backward classes and  Persons with disabilities and 30% for Local persons who resident of that Panchayat/municipality/corporation.

 Applicant shall forfeit 5% of deposit if he/she withdraws from the scheme after depositing initial deposit and the balance amount shall be refunded to the applicant without any interest.

The Income limit (annual) for tenements (flats/Shops) are Single bedroom flats - Rs. 2,16,000/- to 4,80,000/-; Double bedroom flats - Rs. 4,80,000/- to 7,20,000/- and shops - Rs.7,20,000/- and above.
