Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today held a meeting with Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MoEIT), Govt of India, Shri. Saurabh Gaur, IAS and discussed ways in which the State can attract good investors and companies.

Shri. Gaur via a PowerPoint presentation briefed the Chief Minister about the Invest India program and shared different policies and schemes that are currently implemented by  Government of India.

Secretary Revenue, Shri. Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Director, Department of Information  Technology, Ms. Ankita Anand, IAS; Managing Director, Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd., Shri Vivek HP, IAS; Shri. Nitin Kunkoliekar, Shri. Manoj Patil, Shri. Dattaprasad Shetkar also attended the meeting.   

Shri. Gaur informed that many companies are investing through the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Electronic Components and Semiconductors (SPECS) and Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters 2.0 scheme (EMC). The Ministry would facilitate promotion of State of Goa as an important investment destination.

Chief Minister said that the Government has undertaken many reforms to make Goa attract investment, especially in simplifying the processes to obtain various permissions. This would make Goa  more competitive to attract standard industries/companies to choose it for investment.
