SOP FOR SANI PEYARCHI FESTIVAL

           The Office of the Collector, District Magistrate, North Goa has informed that, “Sani Peyarchi Festival”  at the sacred shrine of Sri Saneeswara Bhagvan at Sri  Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Devasthanam, Thirunallaru will be held on December 27, 2020 (Sunday)  early Morning 5.22 a.m. (Maargazhi,12, Sunday Saarvari Tamil Year) during which Lord Sri Saneeswara Bhagavan will transit from the Zodiac Sign Sagittarius to Capricorn.

         

          After transit, devotees may worship Lord Saneeswara Bhagvan at Thirunallaru not only on the day of Sanipeyarchi but also for a period of one Mandalam i.e 48 days, from the date of transit.

         

                The Karaikal District Administration has imposed a number of restrictions  on the movement of people / pilgrim in view of the COVID – 19 situation.Only people who have registered online and possess valid e – ticket will be allowed to enter the temple premises for darshan. Also dip in the holy tanks is barred as there is an apprehension of spread of COVID -19 through this medium.

          The Karaikal District Disaster Management Authority, Government of Puducherry has requested general public, pilgrims, bus/cab/taxi operators to co-operate with administration to have a COVID – safe Darshan.
