WEEKLY REVIEW OF PRICES AND SUPPLY OF IMPORTANT ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

          In Panaji Centre for the week ending June 19, 2018, in wholesale, the prices of gramdal, moong, green peas and potatoes decreased by Rs. 500/- to Rs. 800/-, Rs. 100/- to Rs. 500/-, Rs. 300/- to Rs. 900/- and Rs. 100/- to Rs. 200/-  per quintal respectively during the week.

 

         The prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat khandva, turdal Barshi, moongdal, gram Kabuli big, sugar S-30, gur fine, sunflower oil, coconut oil, vegetable ghee “Ruchi”, rawa, maida, onions, onions, tomatoes, chillies green, eggs large and banana (Vassai) remained steady during the week.

 

        In the retail, the prices of gram Kabuli big increased by Rs. 10/- per kilo during the week. 

 

          The prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled rice local, parboiled rice outside, raw rice common, wheat Khandva, wheat Shivri, jowar Shalu, turdal Barshi, moongdal, gramdal, moong, sugar S-30, gur fine, sunflower oil, coconut oil, vegetable ghee “ “Dalda” packet of 1 litre, rawa, maida, green peas, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, chillies green, eggs large and banana (Vassai) remained steady during the week.

 

          The decreased and increased in wholesale prices and in retail prices were due to decrease in wholesale prices in supplying markets. 

          The supply position of important essential commodities were normal during the week, except that of parboiled rice local, wheat Shivri and jowar Shalu the arrival of which was not noticed during the week.
