          Collectorate North Goa has won the Skoch Order-of-Merit Award 2018 and Skoch Gola Award 2018. The award was conferred during a function held at the Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi on June 22, 2018 in recognization of the accomplishments of the Collectorate North Goa for project ‘e – Revenue: An e - Governance platform for Single widow service delivery in North Goa’. This award is conferred for the display of exemplary focus on providing online services and information to the citizen. This is the third national level award won by the Collectorate North Goa for the e-Revenue project. It won the Platinum Award under Web Ratna District Category of Digital India Award 2016 and also the CSI Nihilent e Governance Award 2016 under the Best District Initiative in Citizen centric Service Delivery through ICT. Smt Revati Mujumdar, CEO of Goa Electronics Limited and Shri B.S. Borkar, Managing Director of Goa Electronics Limited received the award on behalf of the Collector and District Magistrate North Goa.


          Minister for Revenue, Shri Rohan Khaunte congratulated the team of Collectorate North Goa and GEL and stated that it is a proud moment for Goa that the commitment of Goa Government towards citizen centric service delivery under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar, has been recognized at the national level. He added that similar such I.T enabled and public service delivery initiatives by the Revenue Department can be looked forward to in the days to come.


          Approximately 250 online nominations were called from Government entities across India and all the nominations were screened by SKOCH Advisory Committee to shortlist the best nominations in each category. Top performing nomination which contributed to the best practices were conferred SKOCH Order-of-Merit Award 2018. Amongst SKOCH Order-of-Merit recipients, the nomination with highest national ranking was conferred the SKOCH Governance Award 2018. The Awards are based on the philosophy of spearheading positive socio-economic changes through recognizing persons who have contributed immensely to salutary transformations in society and governance by displaying exemplary leadership abilities.


          The project was formulated under the leadership of Smt. Nila Mohanan, IAS and her team comprising of officers of Collectorate North Goa and Goa Electronics Limited (GEL). The project covers various services offered by the Collectorate and its allied offices at the Sub-divisional and Taluka levels the main focus of the website is to provide service delivery at the grass root level by providing facility to avail citizen services like Caste, Income, Residence and Divergence certificate, Single widow for Partition of Land, Conversion of Land and SMS based mutation Facilitation Service with on online facility to track the status of the application at the each stage.


          So far, 1,43,220 certificates have been issued through Village Level delivery of services, while 5321 applications in Partition of Land, 1869 applications in Conversion of Land and 9082 cases of SMS based Mutation Facilitation Service processed online has been processed through the system.
