          Goa State  AIDS Control Society has organized a State Level quiz competition for Colleges in Goa. The competition is conducted to actively involve and engage college students members from the Red Ribbon Clubs in disseminating information related to HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, mental health, Covid-19, Co-morbidities and any other public health threat etc, to create awareness and encourage them to discuss these issues through this mode.

          The all Goa District Level online quiz competition was held online on the November 05, 2020 at Headquarters, Goa SACS- Panaji. 25 colleges registered for the District  level and 23 teams participated. The qualifying team were 1st Goa Medical College, Bambolim; 2nd qualifying team Goa College of Home Science, Panaji;  3rd qualifying team G.R. Kare College of Law, Margao and  4th  VVMS Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economic, Margao.  

The winners of the Goa State  Red Ribbon quiz 2020 are 1st prize winner were Ashwin John Mascarenhas and Chaitanya Naik representing Goa Medical College , Bambolim, 2nd prize winners were Dayle Rebello and Nishad Hegde Dessai representing G.R. Kare College of Law, Margao, 3rd Prize winners were Ms. Luvica Fernandes and Mr. Gourish Prabhu Bhatikar representing VVMS Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economic, Margao and 4th place winners were Moha Fadte and Harshada Shripad Sawant  representing Goa College of Home Science, Panaji.

The Project Director Dr. A. Siona Gomes addressed the gathering. The Quiz Master Dr. Wilson Vaz and his team conducted the quiz. All the winners were awarded with a trophy, cheque cash prize and a certificate. The Assistant Director (Youth Affairs) Shri Jeunesse D. Fernandes compered the programme. Also present for the  programme were  Nodal Teacher  Bharati Pathak from Goa College of Home Science, Nodal Teacher  Shri  Ainsley Bernard from VVMS Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economic, Margao, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
