GSBB CONSTITUTES CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

        The Goa State Bio-Diversity Board (GSBB) has constituted Cluster Development Committee (CDC) to ensure proper implementation of the objective and goals of Conservation of bio-diversity through livelihood intervention in the State of Goa.

 

The Cluster Development Committee (CDC) is constituted comprising of the members  (ex-officio) such as representative from Directorate of Industries  Trade and Commerce (DITC), representative from Khadi and Village Industries  Commission (KVIC), representative from Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), representative from Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (ATMA) North Goa, representative from Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (ATMA) South Goa, representative from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Institute (MSME), Department of  Handicrafts, Textile and Coir (DHTC), Director, Department of Environment and Climate Change and  Member Secretary, Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB) as coordinator.

 

          The Board has undertaken a project by the name of ‘GoVan’ whereby the existing schemes of Government of Goa are sought to be executed alongwith various departments.

 

 It is informed that, the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) of the Central Government shall also be used for undertaking these works. The Department identified as implementing agency, be called as ‘Special Invitee’ of the Cluster Development Committee, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
