Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Tourism, Shri Manohar Ajgaonkar laid the foundation stone for construction of E-learning classroom under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by GMR Goa International Airport Limited and GMR Varalakshmi Foundation GMR, in Government Middle school, Mopa-Pernem today.

Shri Ajgaonkar addressing the gathering said Government is far ahead with regards to carrying out developmental work in the Pernem Taluka.  The pace was affected a bit due to COVID-19 pandemic the work was slow down and will start a full pace in the coming days, he remarked.

           Government will be soon start training classes providing skill based training to our youths to enable them to avail jobs opportunities in upcoming project in Pernem Taluka like International Cricket stadium, AYUSH Hospital, International Airport at Mopa, Ravindra Bhavan etc.

He guided the people about the COVID-19 pandemic and lauded the efforts of Panch members for their selfless work in providing the essential items and groceries to poor and needy people during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also urged the people to follow the COVID-19 norms till medicine comes.

Present on the occasion were Smt. Saraswati Naik, Sarpanch; Smt. Pallavi Raut, Smt. Sima Khadpe, Smt. Disha Parab, President PTA, Shri Arun Naik, Shri Anil Bondre, Head Master, Shri Ajit Bhagvey, Shri Sanjog Sakpal, Assistant GMR along with others.

Head Master, Shri Ajit Bhagvey welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks,  as informed by Department of Information & Publicity.
