Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant today expressed his enthusiasm to execute the plan for Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa in its true sense. Chief Minister  held a review meeting of  Cluster Development Plan for Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swayampurna Goa under the Scheme SFURTI by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The project aims to have employment generation, Revenue enhancement and sustainable economy by promoting Agriculture and Horticulture activities in the State.

Meeting discussed and finalized various clusters to be developed under the SFURTI Scheme for Goa. Clusters such as Paddy Processing, Goan multi fruits processing, Coconut and Coir, Spice and Herbal, Food Processing through Self Help Group, Pottery, Sugarcane jaggery, Khola chillies, Vegetables were identified to get developed in order to generate employment.

Under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Dr. Sawant the meeting approved various Government Departments and Agencies as Implementing Agencies and also Various NGOs as Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) to execute the scheme for the clusters to be developed. The meeting also discussed on various hurdles in implementations of Scheme and measures to resolve the problems.

          Technical Agency called TIME from Kolhapur made a presentation on proposed clusters for Development in Goa.

          Director, Argriculture Shri. Nevil Alphonso, Director, Department of Industry Shri. Deepak Bandekar, CEO, TIME Agency Shri. Rajendra Shinde, Member Secretary, Bio Diversity Board Dr. Pradeep Sarmokadam and other Senior Officers of the concerned Departments were present for the meeting.
