CHIEF MINISTER INAUGURATES MODEL CAREER CENTRE

In leading the way towards providing infrastructure for employment generation and innovative career guidance Office of the Commissioner Labour and Employment, Regional Employment Exchange has today launched its Model Career Centre for youth seeking various career enhancements .Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant in the presence of Minister for Labour and Employment Smt. Jennifer Monserrate inaugurated the well equipped premise of Model Career Centre at Shrama Shakti Bhavan, Patto Panaji today.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Sawant stated that, Model Career Centre will prove as best facility to create conducive environment for youth to seek  employment. The Model Career Centre will not be limited to enrollment for Government jobs but will also open doors of private sectors with excellent job prospects.

Chief Minister appealed to the youth to get registered and avail the facilities available with MCC. He informed that Private Sector will have access to MCC so that, youth can facilitate with innovative career opportunities.

Minister for Labour and Employment Smt. Jennifer Monserrate mentioned that, MCC is all equipped with modern facilities which will cater to the  needs of youth such as job replacement, Job creation and job counseling. It will facilitate Private industries to find right candidate fitting to their requirement. MCC will boost the efficiency of Labour and Employment Department towards reducing unemployment in the State.  

Renovated Office premises of Regional Employment Exchange with Model Career Centre has a contemporary design with public friendly interface. It has Career Counselling stations, Audio visual and video conferencing facilities. Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has renovated the premise.

It is informed that, MCC will conduct various career counseling activities jointly with private sectors at taluka levels to enhance skills, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
