ENFORCEMENT SQUADS UNDER COTPA ACT RE-CONSTITUTED

The North Goa District Magistrate has reconstituted the Enforcement Squads for Tiswadi, Bardez, Bicholim, Pernem and Sattari, talukas for enforcing the effective implementation of the illicit drug/ Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act,  2003 for the entire North Goa talukas. 

The Enforcement Squads are directed to take action on illicit tobacco products which are in circulation without paying taxes including other sections under COTPA Act, 2003.

The Enforcement Squads consist of Mamlatdar, Joint Mamlatdars, Executive Magistrates III of the respective talukas, PSIs attached to concerned  Police Member of NGO GOACAN/Voluntary Health Association of Goa.
