JOHN AGUIAR RETIRES AFTER 30 YEARS OF SERVICE

            Information Officer Shri. John Aguiar, who retired on superannuation of service, was accorded a warm and affectionate farewell by the staff members of Department of Information and Publicity today.  Shri. Aguiar had joined the Department in April 1990 as an Information Assistant. During his tenure, he also served as Public Relations Officer in the Police Department.

            Speaking on the occasion Director of the Department of Information and Publicity Smt. Meghana Shetgaonkar applauded Shri. Aguiar for his zest and dedication towards work. Shri. Aguiar, she said, has been always on his toes for new work opportunities. He shared a very good rapport with every segment of the society, and hence he had become an identity of this Department. It is a proud moment for Shri. Aguiar to retire with an unblemished career record. I wish him all the best in his future life, Smt. Shetgaonkar said.

            Information Officer Shri. Prakash Naik while lauding the contribution of Shri. Aguiar in varied fields recalled his association with him for the last three decades. He said hard work, dedication, and determination which is a key to success is of utmost importance to achieve excellence which Shri. Aguiar possesses.

Shri Aguiar reminiscing his olden days spent in the department urged the staff to work with unity and discipline. Working with the Department, he said, was a wonderful learning experience, which he pointed out will carry with him and cherish in the years to come.

Shri. Shyam Gaonkar compered and proposed the vote of thanks.
