 The statement of market price, as intimated by the Office of the  Registrar of Co-operatative Societies of important essential commodities in Panaji, for the week ending June 9, 2020 is as follows.

In wholesale, the prices of Raw rice common, wheat khandva, wheat shivri and moogdal decreased by Rs.200/- Rs.100 to Rs.200/-, Rs300/- and Rs.1000/- per quintal respectively and vegetable ghee “Ruchi” by  Rs.50/- to Rs.100/- per tin of 15 liters respectively. Moong and maida increased by Rs.2600/- to Rs.3200/- and Rs.40/- to Rs.100/- per quintal respectively, eggs large by Rs.100/- to Rs.110/- per 100 Nos during the week.

The prices of othef important essential commodities like parboiled  rice outside, turdal barshi, gram dal, gram kabuli big,  sugar S-30, gur fine, sunflower oil,  rawa, green peas, potatoes, onions, tomatoes and  chilleies green remained steady during the week.

 In retail, the prices of wheat shivri decreased by Re.1/- per kilo respectively and eggs large increased by Rs.10/- to Rs.11/- per dozen  during the week.

The prices of other important essential commodities like parboiled  rice local, parboiled rice outside, wheat khandva, jowar shalu, moongdal, gramdal, moong, gram kabuli big, sugar S-30, gur fine sunflower oil, vegetable ghee ‘Dalda’, rawa, maida, green peas, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, chillies green and banana (Vassai) remained steady during the week.

The increased and decreased in wholesale prices and increased in retail prices were due to increase and decrease in wholesale price in supplying markets. 

The supply position of important essential commodities were normal during the week, except that of parboiled rice local, jowar shalu and coconut oil  the arrival of which was not noticed during the week.
