
GOA REVOLUTION DAY OBSERVED AT MARGAO

Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar paid rich tributes to the Martyrs of Goa's freedom struggle movement at the historic Lohia Maidan, Margao on the occasion of Goa Revolution Day today.
Shri Kavlekar placed a wreath at the Martyrs memorial and also at the statue of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. The Goa Revolution Day is also known as ‘Kranti Din’ which is observed every year on June 18 to recall the sacrifices of freedom fighters and Martyrs of Goa’s liberation struggle.
Leader of Opposition Shri. Digamber Kamat; Shri Vijay Sardessai, and Shri Clafasio Dias; both MLA’s Chairperson, Margao Municipal Council, Smt Pooja Naik; Collector(South), Shri Ajit Roy IAS; Additional Collector-I, Shri Surendra Naik; Additional Collector-II, Shri Agnelo Fernandes; Superintendent of Police, South, Shri Arvind Gawas, IPS; President, Freedom Fighters Association, Shri Avinash Shirodkar were among those present on the occasion.
