Special Train Shramik Express of Konkan Railway left from Margao Railway station to Uttar Pradesh (UP) with passengers of Fatehpur, Banda, Amethi, Auraiya, Barabanki, Kanpur Dehat, Lalitpur, Mahoba and Mainpuri districts of UP today at 2.30 pm carrying 1464 passengers on board.

Similarly Special Train Shramik Express  departed from Margao to Uttar Pradesh (UP) with passengers of Etawah, Hamirpur, Sitapur, Unnao, Hardoi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kheri, Lucknow and Raebareli districts of UP from Madgaon Station today evening at 6.50 pm carrying 1520 passengers on board

Considering both , altogether four Shramik Express trains left for UP.  Since now total 13 special trains left from Goa.


SP South, Shri Arvind Gawas, IPS; Special Additional Collector, Shri Sanjiv Desai; SP, Shri Sammy Tavares, and other senior officers of district administration were present and the entire operation was monitored by District Magistrate South Goa Shri. Ajit Roy, IAS.   


          The people who boarded on the train were stranded in Goa due to ongoing nationwide lockdown.  A proper medical screening and other formalities of the passengers were carried out before they boarded on both trains.


In the meanwhile a bus arrived with 20 passengers from Bangalore and one bus arrived from Kerala via Mangalore route today early morning with 6 passengers, including 5 from Kerala and one from Karwar
