 6117 FOREIGNERS STRANDED IN GOA REPATRIATED

The Government of Goa coordinated and facilitated the safe repatriation of foreign tourists stranded in the state due to the ongoing lockdown arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

The Superintendent of Police, Foreigners Branch, Shri. Bosco George, IPS, while providing the details informed that 6117 tourists from different nationalities were repatriated  from March 24, 2020 to April 26, 2020. From these 2339 were UK nationals, 1173 from Russia, 692 from Germany, 240 from France and 156 from Italy and other countries.

 

The flight arrangement were made by coordinating with the Embassy of the respective countries and all the protocol as mandated by Ministry of Home Affairs were adhered to strictly till the departure of the flight from Dabolim Airport.
