NEXT PHASE OF LOCKDOWN DISCUSSED BY SEC

The State Executive Committee Chief Secretary, Shri Parimal Rai, IAS briefed the incident Commanders and all those attended the meeting about the next phase of the lockdown. The Chief Secretary emphasised the need for extra caution as a large number of activities has been included under the permitted category during the second phase of lockdown.

 

The State Executive Committee reviewed the overall situation on the corona virus pandemic at Forest Bhavan, yesterday.

 

The SEC decided that the Incident Commanders thrust should be on field inspections to observe the implementation of the MHA guidelines and should actively enforce cleaning of common space, such as toilets, lifts, staircase, no mixing of shifts, staggered timings for lunches etc in the permitted establishments as per the revised MHA guidelines.

 

Public transport is not permitted. Special buses running for the Government staff and other healthcare workers need to follow the norms of social distancing and other health safety standards.

 

Compulsory wearing of face cover in all public places and work places, no pillion rider on motor cycle, one driver and one person on the back seat in a car and goods vehicles can have two drivers and one helper.

 

The SEC deliberated on current situation in the state and also briefed on law and order reports, trucks movement, relief and shelters and Covid Status Report.

 

The Health Secretary informed that all recovered patients has been shifted to a Quarantine facility outside the Covid Hospital.

 

It was also informed that the Chief Minister has congratulated and appreciated the entire team of Officers and Officials involved in the exercise, especially the team of Doctors and paramedics led by Health Secretary. Besides the Chief Minister has praised the dedication exhibited by the entire staff involved in the operation.

Secretary Health informed that 1000 Thermal Guns has been procured and the same will be given as per demands by the Departments. She also informed that house to house survey data is being examined.

 

PCE (PWD) informed about the normal supply of water. He however informed that the tankers are being used in the areas where water sources have dried up due to the summer season. The SEC asked PCE to visit Tuem to confirm the current status and take corrective action.

 

It was also informed to the SEC by the Nodal Officer that 5018 foreigners have left Goa in 26 special ferry flights.

 

Shri Kunal, District Observer asked for the provisioning of the face shield for the staff deployed at the border check posts. The SEC asked Secretary Health to procure 200 face shields to meet the demand of both the Districts.
