RESCHEDULING OF PUBLIC EXAMINATION MARCH-APRIL2020

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has informed that under the directives of Government , the Board had postponed examination in few subjects of HSSC and entire SSC Theory examination.

The Board is assessing the current situation and is sensitive towards the anxiety of the students, parents and the schools, In view of the queries raised by stakeholders the Board has informed all schools to follow one time measure which is as follows. For classes IX and XI: the student with NEEDS IMPROVEMENT remark in Result column is eligible for supplementary examination. Similarly, for classes X and XII Board exams: the rescheduled time table shall be notified 05 days prior to the commencement of examination in case of HSSC and 10 days prior in case of SSC examination. The program shall be decided by keeping all aspects related to entrance exams, admission dates, etc. in mind.

It is further informed that the Board has not been able to carry out assessment work of HSSC due to present situation. Chief Moderator, Moderators and Examiners shall be informed 2-3 days prior to the actual commencement of work. The Heads are instructed not to allow teachers to leave headquarters as their services may be requisitioned for the confidential work pertaining to examination. Non compliance to the same shall attract strict action.

All stakeholders are hereby advised not to fall prey to rumors and rely only on the official announcements made by the Board on its official website.

Heads of the schools are requested to disseminate the information to all concerned.

The initiatives of the Government to combat with COVID-19 crisis may be brought to the notice of all the teachers, students and staff members of the school in the interest of safety of all.

As regard to Protocol for IMMUNITY BOOSTING by Ministry of AYUSH. Their brochure may be shared to enhance body’s natural defence system for self care during this crisis.

The Heads of the institutions are informed to upload brief report of initiatives taken in the interest of students by their institutions during Lockdown period on the Web Portal meant for Recognition of schools (like online classes, Fit India Movement, Virtual classrooms, up gradation of skills like reading-writing, drawing-painting, cooking, etc. YOGA, indoor games, gardening or any other.
